Task/Problem Overview
This document will cover how to use the Jobs feature in Savance Enterprise, including how to create them, how to associate them with an order, and what their purpose is after assigning them to an order.
Create a Job
-
The first method of creating a job in the Account Manager.
-
Search for the Account you would like to add a job to. Then select the Jobs tab.
-
Click the add button to add a Job to the Account.
-
Fill out the Job information.
-
Then click the Save button.
-
You can also streamline the process by having the “Prompt for non-existing Job” setting checked.
-
When this is checked you can type a job into the Job/Releases field on a quote then tab to the next field and the Add Job pop-up will show.
-
If you click yes the Jobs screen will open to allow you to edit any of the Job fields.
Assigning a Job to a Quote/Order
-
In order to assign a Job to a Quote/Order you will first need a Quote/Order open. And a customer selected.
-
Then click the
button to bring up the Job screen. You can follow the Create a Job section to learn more about this screen.
View Invoices for a Job
-
You can view all invoices associated with a specific job in Accounting > Accounts Receivable > Receive Money.
-
Once you select a customer, all invoices for this customer will show up by default. To filter based on a specific job, simply change the Job filter on the top right. You may select one from the drop-down or click the binoculars icon to manage all jobs.
Generate Statements for a Job
-
You can also generate Statements based on a specific job.
-
In the Accounts Receivable section, you can go over to the Statements tab. Search for this customer and check the box next to the customer's name.
-
When it is added to the bottom section, that means the statement will include this customer.
-
By default, the statement will be run for all jobs for each customer. In the Job column on the bottom, you can click No Job Selected to choose a new job.
-
A list of all jobs available to this customer will come up. Once you select a job and generate the statement, the statement will only show information for this customer for the selected job. This is a very convenient way to filter information before generating Statements!
Setup Job Reps
-
To setup Job Reps this is done from the Account Manager screen under the Reps tab. Then enter the required data then select the Job you want to assign the rep to.
